Oh, the irony!

So as many of you are well aware, Disney came out with another movie: Harriet the Spy. Just to point out that real irony is the fact that a teenage movie blogger is writing about a teenage blogger movie. But back to the movie. It was fairly typical Disney. Misunderstood kid (Why is that always a reoccurring theme?), some fall-in with a famous teenage pop star (Again, why?), and boy/girl best friends. But this one had a (sort of) twist- the girl was a spy. Not the secret agent, government spy, oh no this was better, she followed people around and literally watched them in-a-usually-considered creepy way. She also wore a lot of red which is off topic but sort of important anyway. Now back to homework (they should make a movie about my life: Pointless Hours Wasted Over Homework When We Should Really Be SPYING! (Right Disney?)

The spotlight calls us...

Hi bloggers!
Sorry I haven't posted, but life, and homework, have finally caught up to me. Looking back I noticed that I haven't said what the movie is about in detail. So I'll start today. Basically, this particular movie is about several kids from all over the country who want to pursue the fine arts. It takes us through their four years in high school during which they learn about growing up, relationships, yadda yadda yadda. Now to what I thought of the movie: Good, not amazing, good, somewhat confusing, good, well...good: you get the idea. It's not mind-blowing or anything but for some lazy weekend when you have nothing else to do... it may be worth watching, put it that way. The music was pretty awesome though.

Only the Good Die Young

Ah, the perfection of world class thieves..........why must these shows be so wonderful? Seriously five thieves working for good- perfection. By the time I got halfway through my first episode I was completely addicted. I mean addicted. I don't think I have missed an episode and I doubt I ever will. This is television. I don't mean to sound pushy, but go watch it. Now. I mean it, turn off the computer and watch this show! You can thank me later.

Mythology exam?

As you have probably heard, Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief recently came to theaters. The main idea is a normal NYC boy who gets sucked into the world of Greek mythology for reasons far too delicious to post on my lowly blog. I actually thought it was quite excellent. So excellent, that my fellow Americans and Theater Goers felt the need to laugh so loudly that I couldn't hear the best parts. In fact, it was actually somewhat accurate to real Greek mythology. Go figure right? Anyway, I've started to notice that every time some new movie/TV trend trend comes out (vampires, etc.) then everyone goes with it. We now have Clash of the Titans to look forward to as well as who-knows-what-else. Not that they won't be good, but it gets pretty monotonous after awhile. I guess that's why these movies are such a hit. Plus, this director is like, my hero.

Green Eggs and Ham?

Julie and Julia..........
Before I start I would like to point out some things about Julia Child I did not know until I entered her name into a popular online search engine:
*She was, in fact, a spy. (I have a slight obsession with spy movies)
*She created shark a shark repellent during WWII.
*She was 6 feet 2 inches.
-Anyway, about the movie. Two determined women. One passion-cooking. I honestly don't know how you could go wrong with cooking, blogging, and most importantly, butter. The sheer presence of Meryl Streep and Amy Adams on my TV screen almost made up for failing my pop quiz. All in all, this movie had a lot of charm, and I have no doubt that by next week I will have watched it so many times I will be utterly sick of it.
